he's a must listen.. he plays all the instruments, his voice is incredible, and the words fit so perfectly.  its a really cool combo of jazz-ish sounds..

I recommend "simple things" the most, you can find it on his myspace page :  www.myspace.com/dbclifford

because he is half french, i hear it on virgin radio all the time and it just puts the biggest smile on my face!!  especially the middle part with a piano/vocal solo, its just simply ingenious..i get goosebumps (and not many artists other than V can do this to me!)

i really hope to get feedback, he's incredibly talented!!

i'm obsessed.

thats all i have to say..i've listened to it for days now without saying anything and its like all her other songs for me..i can just keep listening without any need to stop.


i think its a great way of expressing herself and its a REALLY great sound overall..i can hear it on certain stations around me, no doubt.

i think its a great idea and i actually love the song.. i instantly thought of nelly furtado which is a pretty good thing because look at how well shes doing with her new album and how much her music has evolved since "i'm like a bird".. and even michelle branch being part of the wreckers and shifting her music to more of a country style, look at how much that has done for her..

i think every artist will go through many obstacles and shifts to find their identity and i give vanessa huge props for trying different things.

its not quite a hearing, but i had nothing to do at work and i was reading people magazine last week and there was a little blurb on the "seen and heard" section that vanessa was in miami and loved this guy's house, and instead of settling with a post card of it, she whipped out her camera and took her own pics =) haha

honestly, she never stops amazing me with her talent and appeal.. that performance (location, place and meaning to the py family) could not have been any more perfect.

they really just have this sound that is undescribable..like you hear the actual music and begin to crave more of that, but then you hear his voice that is completely unexpected sounding and it meshes SOO well!!

(thats not even close to the description i have in my mind, but the description i have is beyond words so i think thats as close as we're getting for now..haha)

i saw them perform live at my college when ben folds came in october..they're AMAZINGGGG.


ever since i've been completely drawn to their music, its sooo good!! and now they're vh1 artist on the rise and they're playing on my radio at home..its so awesome, and i can safely say im 100% obsessed.


they're REALLY good, everyone should check them out!!

i cannot wait for the third album.  i love hearing the versions of PYHOM, this time, the one and best behavior.  you aussie fans are in for SUCH a treat in february, so happy for you all!!!!!

i feel really good about the new songs and the fact that stevie has taken vanessa under her wing lately, i feel like theres a lot more confidence and professionalism in this album now that she has grown as a person and an artist from the last two.

needless to say, whatever happens i'll still adore anything she puts out for us!!!!!!

this is crazy adorable!!! im not sure if this has ever been posted before, if so any mod can delete this thread, but someone downloaded mytunes on my computer yesterday and i was searching through the vanessa archive, and its the lead singer of the counting crows and vanessa singing ATM together as she plays piano, its soooo cute!!!

im not sure how to upload it or anything, but i thought it was kinda cool =) definitely check it out if you can..
