guess i have to finally voice my opinion (which isnt really gonna count cos its what a zillion people hav already said...)

the song is ok...not half that bad...yes it is gonna put nessa back in the public eye...and...we're all waiting for the new "Vanessa Carlton" album to come out in Spring.... :D

i think its a great idea and i actually love the song.. i instantly thought of nelly furtado which is a pretty good thing because look at how well shes doing with her new album and how much her music has evolved since "i'm like a bird".. and even michelle branch being part of the wreckers and shifting her music to more of a country style, look at how much that has done for her..

i think every artist will go through many obstacles and shifts to find their identity and i give vanessa huge props for trying different things.

okay, so I guess you need the definition of melody, too:

even though it's spoken~sung word, each word and syllable is a note. Maybe a G, then a G# or A even! The voice is an instrument, and everything coming out of it is melodious. Just say the word 'melodious' and you'll understand! haha

I read an interview with 7 where he said the release for the single was   1.17.07  and album release 7.7.07.  So I guess this song will be released pretty soon!
