Hey,
Thanks for all the sweet messages about our little bean. I've been so lucky to have this time to get to know her. We will be leaving the nest soon though. I'll be playin' a couple shows in April with Mr. Skye Steele on violin and his shroomy pedal sounds.

Hope you all are well. So excited to release this album this fall!! It's all shaping up. I've recovered well and will be starting art work for the record soon.

Victor and Sid are prepared to make rather positive impressions on TSA agents around the globe.

See ya out there
Xx

Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / London Music Book Video
« on: November 04, 2014, 10:19:41 pm »
There are several beautiful piano renditions of London on youtube. However, I'm trying to learn the version that is specifically from the ROR music book. I was wondering if anyone had seen a video of that particular version they could link me to? It has the melody in the right hand throughout the song. I don't currently have a piano teacher and it's not easy for me to learn the proper rhythm without hearing it played by someone. If any of the talented players would be willing to upload a version, I could scan the sheets to you. I would even be willing to pay you for it via paypal. Thanks!  :-*

The Birchmere is awesome. I got really good seats close to the stage. Patrick Sweeney was cool and my mom was crushing on him. Vanessa floated onto the stage with a glass of white wine and immediately started playing Learning To Fly/Carousel. Skye was there as well with his neat pedal. It sounded soooo good on Take It Easy. She used that neat "80s machine" on Get Good. She said The Willows was the first song she ever wrote about her parents and about being at their cabin in the woods. She mentioned her hospital stint and then said that she got married. Then before Bride she joked that her situation had changed and flashed her ring finger but said that the lyrics still meant the same thing. She was pretty talkative between the songs which was great. I asked my sister to get some recordings so I'll upload those if the sound came out okay. Also took some pics which I'll upload later. Towards the end some dude yelled out asking when the new album was going to come out and she said "later this year"!!

I got a gray Lord Victor t-shirt at the merch place and afterwards she came out to sign stuff. The venue specified no pictures prob to move things along quicker. I was towards the back of the line and soo nervous even though I've met her three times before. She looked pretty onstage but she looked stunning up close. I've never brought her anything before but I brought her a present this time. It was a wedding pic of her and John in a cute wooden frame I found that had a keyhole on it which reminded me of Unlock the Lock. When I got up to her I was talking way too fast and said something like, "I hope this isn't weird but I brought you a present." Then she said, "I'll take it!" kinda enthusiastically. I had put it loose in a gift bag and I thought she was gonna look at and she kinda peered into the bag but then set it down. Damn. I had her sign a picture of me and her from two years ago which she prob thought was weird cause I had red hair then, it's blonde now, and it didn't look like me. I never know what to say and just kinda freeze up. She was very sweet though and lovely as usual.

Anyone here ever play the video game Grand Theft Auto? If so, this video will be even funnier but even if you haven't played it, it's still pretty great:
