Preorder your signed copy of Liberman now through @vanessacarlton’s webstore! Head to http://bit.ly/VClstore  for details

and when you preorder it you get "Nothing Where Something Used To Be" and if you choose the deluxe edition you get "House Of Seven Swords (Demo)" too!

The studio version of NWSUTB?

Also, trailer for Liberman! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av3z6bGgbis

Edit: Don't make the same mistake I did and checkout as a guest or you won't be able to download the free mp3 apparently :(

New music videos coming soon, with Vanessa in them! A couple shots from her twitter, looking gorge:

I'm so excited that it said "videos", as in more than one. Take It Easy, Willows, or Operator?

I love it!! It's not as electronica-y as Operator or Take It Easy but really pretty! The lyric video was nice too, beautiful aesthetics; it's so her. If that was by any other artist I'd see it and think, "That's so Vanessa."

Nice album cover too! Could she get any prettier?!  :o

Two new vids up on People!
http://www.people.com/people/videos/0,,20946254,00.html

Also,
she is a 35 year old woman.  she has a mind of her own and will do her own thing.  she no longer bows down to record companies OR men OR women who try to tame her!

So much this! I'm sure she's inspired by John, but to say anything on her record was someone else's doing at this point is unfair. It's weird, I remember not really feeling Get Good that much when she first debuted it on tour because there was no piano and now I'm obsessed with it. Listening to it literally feels like wrapping a blanket around yourself. Matter of Time is probably my least favorite of the new songs so I'm hoping the same thing happens when the studio version comes out.

Irv Gotti messaged her on Twitter. She didn't seem... all that happy to hear from him.

That's so cool! Thanks for sharing! It's startling how it cuts off towards the end, haha.

Rivers! Such a good interview with Marc Maron. We just listened on way back from Newport Folk. Whatever happened to our song? @RiversCuomo

@VanessaCarlton @RiversCuomo did he throw you over to work with the muppets again?  (in fairness, muppets are hard to compete with)

@scooter5000 @RiversCuomo no it was from ages ago. I sent a funeral march and he wrote lyrics over it. X

She did a collab with Rivers! I'd love to hear this!

I really think Operator could have a lot success as a single also! I'm in love with the studio version.

I love Operator! So happy we finally have Moneymaker! It was well worth the wait and I agree that it sounds like early demo stuff! The lyrics "leave your house for a home" are my favorite but the whole song is brilliant lyrically.

The Take It Easy studio version was shocking after being so used to the live version! The light synth is breathtaking though and I love the gentle fade in and the little "hey" she does. Her voice is beautiful on this and I love the haunting backing vocals. Also the beat reminds me of Brandon Flowers' song "Jilted Lover and Broken Hearts." (still waiting for them to do a collab one day).

Anyway, how does she keep managing to get even better? I didn't think anything could top ROTR but I think Liberman will!

The chorus is very much about a woman’s mind: how quickly the wall can go up. It’s important to find that secret door.
