When analyzing this, I took into consideration that this song is lyrically very nature-based, helping me with deciphering the lyrics. With regard to the second verse, though, she mentions the symbol of life (a baby). And with life, comes death. Which ultimately brought me to the darker lyric of "the destine's a hearse." Because the devil (symbol of corruptness or an omen) is prominent, I think that the 'ritual' which Vanessa refers to, is to rid of the detrimental things in her life. To free herself from it all. Then in a way, she is suggesting that her deus ex machina is in the form of a man, admitting she is "lucky to find [him];" almost as if he may have been one of the things which "pulled her away from the devil." Okay, anyway, that was long-winded. Sorry! Here's what I found for lyrics! Enjoy:
Find a love, go build a cabin
Find land in a tree, carving a wish on your knees,
Plant seeds, the dirt's making a rose where the devil don't see
Love, I agree, so lucky to find ya
Our memories, they don't stay behind us
Our minds our strong,
But could it be enough to bring strength to the bone?
Our weeping willow (that's) hanging above me
Am I back in the sun, would it fall upon me?
I won't let you down, and man you will keep safe my love.
Sew the Earth, a blanket, a bounty
In the destine's a hearse
The devil drives empty
In a baby's eyes, the ritual purifies every desire
Our weeping willow (that's) hanging above me
Am I back in the sun, would it fall upon me?
I won't let you don't, and man you will keep safe my love
Man you will keep safe my love
Man you will keep safe my love
The arm of the willow that's hanging above me
Am I back in the sun, would it fall upon me?
I won't let you don't, and man you will keep safe
Let you down, and man you will keep safe
Let you down, and man you will keep safe
Let you down, and man you will keep safe my love
Safe my love, safe my love..
Safe my love.
