He is such a sweetie. He bought me the VC songbook for the piano! Yeah, well I can't read music very well, but I know the basics and my mom is pretty good at it, and my oldest sister Emily knows how because she took lessons for eight years... But its SO AWESOME! Last night I started writing underneath each note which it was, last night I tinkered out a little of the beginning of Twilight, and this morning I got the left hand of Paradise!!!

that's so sweet of him! i'm sure you'll learn the songs quickly! i'm trying to get this kid in my choir who's a piano wiz to learn some vanessa tunes

Great to hear, Mal! Vanessa's songs are tough (try All I Ask, heh). And that Songbook was the first that I ever got. I learned em in piano lessons. They are so awesome! I love playing ATM, Prince, and Wanted.

aw awesome! my piano teacher was a *beep* and refused to help me learn any vanessa carlton songs.. so i taught myself every one of them =) (well.. ex piano teacher now i fired her for such reasons) hhe
my favorite to play is paradise and wanted..and a thousand miles..that one makes me feel so smart lol

that's awsume Mallory, your luckyyyyy, good luck, the only thing i can play on the piano is mary had a little lamb hahaha..and just using random piano keys that doesn't make any sense haha.

your boyfriend rocks!!! lol. i can't read sheet music at all. i learned to play a thousand miles by ear. i think i might take lessons but i don't know, cause we can't afford em right now.
