I would but I'd put a hifen so my name could be there too.

I voted "yes..."  That is, if his name doesn't suck and I'm not a big superstar by then.

hehe i agree with Shannon... I'm gonna take my man's surname, but for the purposes of my career, keep the name i have now. A hyphenated name would be cool, but in my case, it would be weird and ridiculously long...

Marriage Question (for women)
« Reply #37 on: August 22, 2006, 05:20:46 pm »
i decided i'm going to create my own line of women.
because, even if you do keep your last name, you're still keeping your fathers name, and even if i wanted my mom's last name, her last name was HER fathers last name and so forth, all trailing descendence back from the male.. WHY? women are the ones who make the baby, give birth to it, and go through all the hard work, and her name just gets erased? it's like losing your identity when someone calls you Mrs. John Doe.  thats so fucken retarded.

also, i like my last name. i'm not even big on the idea of marriage & children in the first place so the above might never happen, cos then i'd have to have a baby. which i don't want to. also, unless i marry a latin man, i wouldn't want to give up my pretty last name for some boring american name.. that's just not me.
