A good friend of mine is involved with Jews For Jesus.

Pretty much, they are people who practice the Jewish traditons but are Christians. Also, they have an outreach program to Jews. The whole movement is called Messianic Judaism. In doctrine, they are usually quite similar to Baptists or Nondenominationalists. However, I know some Catholics that are involved in JFJ, so YMMV.

Hah! So I was right! I think somebody *cough* TSE *cough* owes me an apology (and a bow).... 8)

I know quite a few Messianic Jews.  I had the opportunity to attend a camp with a lot of Christians, and in the population there were a few outstanding Messianic Jews, one of whom had been studying Talmudic Judaism very intensely before he gave in to the Yeshua who had been calling to his heart since he had turned away years before.  One of the pastors was a Pentacostal Baptist whose wife was also a Messianic, and she spoke with us on several occasions and we held quite a few Jewish observances over the course of the months, but I had to leave before the big Passover/Easter celebration.
