yeah you can get BEng for an degree like mine (only an engineering one instead of a science one). Then MEng for a masters degree. I believe top rung for engineers is Chartered Engineer. If you achieve CE status you are king among engineers, every country will want you to live there and companies will write you blank cheques to work for them
Alternatively, you can take the old school route and just become really good at welding things
