Superman Returns

Another sequel that could be better than the others.  I dont know much about this one, there's no director or actors involved yet, but there is a page on IMDB.com that describes a plot..

The origin of Superman, defender of Truth, Justice, and the American Way! See Kal-El plummet from the exploding remains of the once beautiful Krypton! Watch as the Kents raise him as young Clark! Witness Clark's travels to the vast city of Metropolis, where he meets the lovely Lois Lane! And last, but not least, see his first transformation into the one and only Man of Steel to save the world in one of the most famous and epic superhero tales ever told!

Sounds more like a remake of the 1978 version, but I dont think this is a definate plot outline....

Supposedly there are a few actors in mind to play the Man of Steel.  Apparently someone thinks it'd be a good idea for Ashton Kutcher to play him.  I'd shoot myself....bad idea, and I'm praying that they pick someone more suited for the role, you know, someone with more muscle on them, not some scrawny ass kid like Kutcher.....anywho....another one I can't wait to see how it turns out....

Strong rumors are that Brandon Routh has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman. *head desk* He was awful on One Life to Live, so awful that he lasted less than a year. He's not even cute, bleh.

I'm hoping this is just some sick joke, because if it's not, this movie will suck.

Singer wanted an unknown actor though...unless he's just trying to throw us a curve ball...

It's official.  Brandon Routh is the next Superman.

I also heard that Evangeline Lilly (from Lost), is in the running for Lois Lane.  That would be nice.

Spacey will officially star as Lex...Kate Bosworth is in negotiations to star as Lois Lane, although I think they could do better.

Whatever yo, they should have casted Amy Acker as Lois Lane, not that toothpick Bosworth. But hell, at least they didn't cast Beyonce.

I'm looking forward to this movie. I can't wait to see what the costume is gonna look like. It could look cool (Spider-Man) or stupid (Batman...rubber again? ).

the costume is important, so PLEASE not like Spiderman, its all so CGI it hurts my eyes. Some rubber might be okay, but not overkill like Batman&Robin. we dont need rubber nipples on the costume. Batman Begins will be back to the basics and looks really badass, so I have a lot of hope that they will do this right.

I'm so completely psyched for this movie tho I know its still a LONG way off.

I actually didn't have a problem with the CGI in Spider-Man. At least his costume looks more traditional. I don't like Batman's costume much but maybe when I see the movie it'll grow on me. Superman should have a cloth like material, kinda like the Fantastic Four. I hope there's no rubber at all. And I hope the colors are darker/stronger than they were in the previous Superman films.
