I think its going to do well! I mean the chorus just does it for me, its extremaly good! so if the rest of the song is like it, it will be one awesome record.

I love those lyrics in the song - can't wait to actually hear them since they weren't in the clip. I just wonder how she is going to do it.

i don't want to judge to quickly but.. am i the only one not thrilled with "nolita fairytale" ? i think it can grow on me, but i really don't know how well it will do as a single.. not to be debbie downer or anything (waaah waaah).  i trust vanessa but i kind of feel HOM would make a better single to start off with.. :|

Yeah, I kind of mentioned this earlier in the thread....I definately think HOM would make a much better single to start off with. MUCH better song for the masses. Just as I think Private Radio would have been the best first single from Harmonium. I LOVE White Houses, don't get me wrong, it just wasn't the best way to start off her second album with the pop crowd.

I feel the same way about Nolita Fairytale - LOVE the song but not the best choice to start out with. Very personal, just like White Houses is.

I think that the summer is all about upbeat stuff.. I think it is a good idea to make a more up-beat song release in the summer, and more minor song for the fall or winter... I think that nolita fairytale is a decent song, I have not heard the whole thing.... But I think it is a better choice for people to jam out to some vanessa carlton - then be moved by HOM... The other choice was House/Home... Irv said that was going to be the single. It is very somber, basic, and mellow, but as it goes on it builds well... It becomes upbeat, but still minor, and has some good melodic structures that are movie-esq like HOM does
