Anyway you're right--there IS a reason it's called a gateway drug: back in the 1930s the hemp industry threatened to cut into the profits of the oil industry who were hellbent on capitalizing on fossil fuels, not to mention all those loony pot-smoking Mexicans the government needed a quick way kick out of the country after their "services" were no longer needed.
The solution:
Run a massive anti-marijuana propaganda campaign comprised of mis-information, racism and outright lies (which have stuck to this day) to outlaw it.
Read a history book, maam.

Marijuana is NOT dangerous...........like.....AT ALL. If fact, more people have been turn on to harder drugs after the use of ALCOHOL than marijuana ever has. Not to mention all the thousands of deaths directly attributed to alcohol...
