I can so imagine her recording "Heroes and Thieves" (the song) with a smile on her face.
Doesn't she sound happy in it?

Oh and thanks for the tips and links (HarmySandwich in particular), I finally got it to work!

I'm only listening to the songs she's played before.  So far, I'm partial to "Fools Like Me".  Really is quite different from what I'd expected.

And excluding Stevie's vocals (they seem poorly mixed into the song), "The One" really gives me the chills, it's beautiful.  That little bit of bass in the first verse adds a lot.

Stop asking for the leak. We can't condone the illegal trading of music. We can't control whatever you do via PMs and IMs and ask that you keep any requests in those channels and off this board. Is it me or does Vanessa sound more mature, a little bit more of that smoky essence? It's quite beautiful.  8)

Spring Street's story is so touching and pretty. One of my faves right now!

Tell me one thing....

How would you feel to stand up after a huge failure, face the world, and write fresh new killer songs, waiting for your new album to be in stores ctober 9th...and then your fans...fans you think respected you all they way...download leaked songs...songs you wanted to share with them at THE SAME TIME.  

Have some respect guys....don't download the songs....it's illegal and disrespectful to Vanessa, who has put in a lot of EFFORT and TEARS to stand up again and write a new album.

I defintely think her voice sounds more mature, clearer more specifically.  It sounds smooth and like she has more control over it;  it's also the first time that I would ever say that her voice truly sounds beautiful.  Don't get me wrong, I've always liked her voice, but it's just got a different quality to it now.

Yeah, it's more rockish than Harmonium was.

The piano sounds beautiful, it sounds so clear, like glass...or something like that.

I really love the bass that she has in these songs!

Ouaw... Beautiful album ! I love it !

AfterAfterglow : we listened to the album because we love Vanessa and it won't affect the sell of the album. It's the opposit.. i'll buy 4 copies ! or 5...  :)

Except all of us here are buying the record, so it doesn't effect her to begin with.  :roll:

I can't speak for others outside this forum however. Seriously though, if you think we're disrespecting Vanessa, people that have stuck by her through thick and thin and are eager to hear new material, which we plan on buying to begin with, then you need to take a step back and look at what's been going on in these forums since this album was announced.

The One is ruined.

I have only listened to the songs we have heard before. I'm waiting for the other ones.

I don't like what they did with "Fools Like Me." The whole album is a lot more pop than I expected. I guess I am just so used to hearing it just V and the piano. I'm not used to this up tempo.
