i love rain... because..... it rains once or twice every 6 months or so. so i enjoy it when it does happen :)

it was annoying in london though cause i had to walk in it to get places.. no car to shield me :/ walking home from the grocery store when its raining carrying a bunch of bags is not fun...

After the rainiest summer/fall in 12 years, I'm over it for this year. I don't
doubt constant wet weather aided the demise of the business I worked
for until last Saturday; they haven't even been able to pay me this week!

The rain continues here for the 5th day in a row; the rain depression that
worked its way down here from the Coral Sea, looks set to continue on to
the Tasman meaning more rain and wind for another few days yet! Yuk  :icky:

i love it, i get a bit tired of it when it rains for days and days, (bloody english weather etc etc) but i love it when it's one of those massive summer rainstorms and after like 2 minutes of walking down the road you're so rained on you might as well have jumped into a lake!

My friends and I try watch as the storm comes and when it's like 5 feet behind us we run away and see how far we can get before we get poured on.

Speaking of rain, we got some rain in epic proportions here this past weekend. So much so a man made lake got so high it breached the shoreline, cut a new channel, obliterated houses and the highway between it and the nearest river, and proceeded to completely empty itself into said river.

The rivers have mostly crested now, but we're supposed to get more severe storms tomorrow. Yay?

So wild! Except for a light rain the night before last, which had dried up by the time I got out of the house yesterday morning, it's been pretty dry around here for the past two weeks.Well, dry as in no rain. The humidity, though, has been a bastard.

At the University of Iowa has flooded. Summer classes are being postponed, The water height has broken its previous record form 1993. It isn't even supposed to crest until tuesday.
