WMG ROSTER CUTS? A Los Angeles Times report says about 170 acts, or 50% of the newly consolidated Atlantic-Elektra label, now known as the Atlantic Records Group, are due to be cut from the combined roster, as Warner Music Group’s new management continues to seek out some $200 million in cost cuts. Third Eye Blind is said to be among those being dropped, while rock superstars Metallicare said to have negotiated to have their next album worked by Warner Bros. following the exit of top Elektra execs.
