Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know: Third Eye Blind is releasing their Red Star E.P. digitally, this Tuesday (Nov. 18 )! This will be the first music that's been officially released by the band in over 5 years!

It will be available on itunes and amazon. It features the songs, "Non-Dairy Creamer," "Red Star," and Why Can't You Be," and is apparently going to include a "Making of" video documentary.

Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Red-Star/dp/B001L2GJY2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1226843149&sr=8-1

You can also stream the entire E.P. right now, on their myspace!

Can't wait for this E.P. on Tuesday, and I can't wait til the album, Ursa Major comes out in the spring! Enjoy! :)

I love the EP and I especially love Why Can't You Be. Red Star is really addicting too.

Have any "Ursa Major" fans noticed some similar melodies from Heroes and Thieves on this album?

"Dao of St. Paul" -> "Come undone"

the opening part "This part "In this night, I need to call you but all the lines are blown.
If only you knew, how empty I feel. But maybe then you're lonely too,"

"About to Break" -> "Home"

the part after "Standing next to my fellow man" and the guitar after "it's about to break"

It's only for a few verses but I definitely hear the similarities.
"Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy"
-Ludwig van Beethoven

Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one that hears this. Especially the dao of st. paul one. Also, in "Bonfire" there's a bunch of lyrics I can associate with Vanessa. Like the whole campfire imagery, "some girls will break you down, just to see you come undone", "we could live like kings if we take a risk." The lyrics aren't really that big a deal, since Stephan did co-write a lot of Vanessa's songs, I just thought it was cool.
