Vanessa's Greatest Hits
« on: February 24, 2008, 10:24:30 am »
So, I decided to make my own album of Vanessa's Greatest Hits (I know, ALL her songs are great, but...).  And of course it has to be exactly 11 songs because all her albums have 11 songs.  So here is my compilation of Vanessa Carlton's Greatest Hits:
1. Ordinary Day
2. A Thousand Miles
3. Pretty Baby
4. White Houses
5. Who's To Say
6. Private Radio
7. Nolita Fairytale
8. Hands On Me
9. Heroes & Thieves
10. Home
11. More Than This

How do you like my selections ?

I like your list, private_radio! Except I would have excluded afterglow and Private Radio.

It's so hard to decide just 11 songs, i love almost every song of hers.

i think that..  vanessa shouldn't have a greatest hits. at least not now. she's only just put out her third album. she only has had 2, maybe 3 of what i would actually call hits (atm, ordinary day [i guess], and white houses/nolita fairytale [kinda]).

third eye blind (my favorite band) put out "A Collection" a couple months ago.. it was pretty stupid. contractually obligated, but/therefore really stupid. it had their singles, and some random songs. but everyone (including 3eb - as demonstrated by the actual title) knows you can't really have a greatest hits and call it a greatest hits, without an album FULL of HITS.

anyway.. speculation is cool. lol and no way should a greatest hits, or whatever you want to call it, be 11 tracks. that'd be just retarded (of course i think that no albums should be 11 tracks.. maybe that's just me.)

A Thousand Miles
Ordinary Day
Pretty Baby
White Houses
Who's to Say
Private Radio
Nolita Fairytale
Hands On Me
Fools Like Me
Heroes & Thieves
Home
More Than This

and then you add some goodies for the fans (exactly what third eye blind didn't really do, even though they were kind of supposed to)

(recorded version of )All is Well or Best Behavior
Morning Sting
Superhero
All I Ask
Streets Have No Name

that would be a pretty good disc. these aren't in a tracklist order - just going through the albums in order of release. maybe i'll do that later.. i don't know.

Ya, I agree...the album shouldn't be only 11 tracks like her "real" albums. I'll pick almost the same like your list, Sam, but I'll put Annie too.
