haha.....good...may he rot in hell
...in 12 to 13 years...
maybe longer.
The case just seems weird anyway...this made national news. I didn't think he was guilty, but I didn't really keep up with the trial.
he'll most likely appeal it, which would extend the whole thing anyway, but yeah, a person can be on death row for a long time...
I bet he dies in prison (suicide) before he's executed.
No.
Have you guys talked to any lawyers about this case?
The overwhelming opinion by the legal community is that WITHOUT a serious mishap by his lawyer (and even then, he'd still probably get it on grounds of gross negligence of council) then the rulling will be overturned and declared a misstrial.
The judge cannot dismiss the final juror who was making it difficult to get a guilty verdict in INORDER to get the verdict in a NATIONALLY telivised, high profile, muder trial.
None of the 6 lawyers I have discussed this case with think there is a shot in hell of this verdict standing.
So while we may all get a warm fuzzy from this, there's a flag on the play. Holding, on the offense. 15 yards. replay the down.
