.. New Nessaholics Main Page? Yes? No?

Hey everyone!

So I was just on the Nessaholics main page, and I was wondering.. What do you guys think of it?
I'm asking because I think it'd be cool if we could make it match Nessa's updated site.

With the admin's consent, I could make a bunch of artwork, if they'd be willing to put it up and give me the sizes/resolutions I'd need for each one. I think it'd be fun, and if it turned out good, I'd like to use it for my art portfolio.

Anyhow, I just finished a very quick preview of what I think would look good on the main page. It's pretty simple, but I think it's neat, classy and works effectively. This is just a quick copy, I didn't include the Nessa top bar.

Also, ignore the skip in the lace. There were five of those, and I fixed all but one. It's gone in a newer version.

The main page needs updating period.  It's very out of date with information as well.  With that said, I really like your page, I don't mind the lace, it's a touch Victorian, which is V's style anyway.  It would be more simplistic and most likely look better without it, but it's not hateful.

I honestly love it! I like the little lace thingys too. It's simple but still looks nice and elegant. The main page would also need information updating since the last one was from like 2007, I believe.

Sarab: Haha, I actually included the lace because it looked to plain before. I wanted to incorporate something that Vanessa would like into the site, so  I thought Victorian lace would really help represent her.

That's why I included the hot topics part, though -- in case there's a lack of updating on the site, the Hot Topics will link to the forum and remain active.

As soon as I finish a decent model of this, I'm going to contact a moderator and propose the idea. xD And brush up on my CSS if I have to.

Definitely agree we need a makeover and update. One thing for sure is across the top it has to be NESSAholics not all caps. I'll talk with the other mods & admin and see what we can do about a changes.

Okay, I'll fix that now. C: I wasn't sure, so I tested both out. Both look fine but I thought this went with the theme more.
