Just saw her perform and met here a couple of nights ago. She was pretty much flawless. And one of the nicest and coolest people I've met. She wrote, "Let's go get high sometime…" on my cd. What. Amazing.

I didn't get to take any videos because she was completely obstructed from my view point. And they also didn't allow pictures when we met her which is so stupid. My friend ran into her after the show at a restaurant and got to chat with her. She's just the coolest girl you've ever met.

I've listened to the album all the way through a few times now.   I am in LOVE with her voice.  I love how it's different from most people out there.  I was surprised by all the ...beats/bass but it really works.  My favorites are Dark Paradise and Radio.  I didn't realize there was a deluxe version until just now boo I don't have those three songs!

i'm sooooo into her. listened to her album a few days ago. "national anthem" is definitely a favourite. it's so fucking awesome. seriously, i'm in love with this song. radio is also getting me.
i love how her low voice is waaaaaay different from her high voice.

I also think she's a fantastic songwriter. She can do no wrong in my eyes.

I don't know about the writing.  Some of it seems repetitive and simple but who am I? I don't write songs.  I also think the profanity is unnecessary, then again it adds to her charm/persona.  I really do like her, don't get me wrong. but I wouldn't say the writing is stellar or anything near what vanessa does and how thoughtful vanessa is with her lyric choice.

Oh, she's definitely no Vanessa.

But for what she does as a pop artist, I think she's fabulous.

"Video Games", although full of cliches, is a fantastically well written pop song. It's actually one of my favourite of all time. She just captures the true essence of love perfectly with that song (for me).

that's funny, I had read/heard somewhere, I can't remember where and it was a few months ago, that she was only going to do the one album and that's it!

it was months ago, and I think it was just someone's blog, so the information could not be reliable (I hope it's not!)

She said early on that she couldn't see herself writing a second record because "everything I wanted to say, I said with this album". She also said recently in her Vogue interview she hopes to leave the music industry for film. Hope she changes her mind.

She's releasing a "paradise edition" of 'Born to Die' in November though and recording her version of "Blue Velvet" to coincide with her H&M campaign. Woohoo.
