so far this is what I can make out from the lyrics:
-------------------

If you're old and lonely in life
You've got to let it go
Let you to a million stars and then

Soon your Moon slowly dies
To yourself and to your light
The Shamans can't always know limits fade, as will you

When the music crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy, baby

The Sun won't rise
You said it twice to yourself through the night
The Shaman's there, you've always known
And when it's dark, it gets low

When your music crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy

When Heaven lives around you
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy

------------------

Young to let it go
But old enough to know
Connected to a million stars and lights

You sang in thoughts, sang it twice
To yourself and to the night
It's natural, the Shaman's prayer
When its fire gets low

And as your castle crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy, baby

Know you have to go
Just wanted you to know
I'll be ready when you gotta go home

You sang in thoughts, sang it twice
To yourself, to the night
The Shaman's prayer, it's natural
When its fire gets low

When your castle crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy

When Heaven wraps around you
And she will
Take it easy
Take it easy

Connected to a million stars and lights

------------------
Discuss!!!!  Grin
it's probably not 100% correct, obviously given the one recording we have so far.

2013 fall tour new lyrics
Take It Easy
------------------------------------

I'm old enough to know
Too young to let it go

Connected to a million stars and lights

I know you have to go
Do we follow what we know?
I'll be here for you in the night

Say it once, say it twice
To yourself, to the night
The Shaman's prayer, it's natural
When it's quiet, it gets low

And as your castle crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy, eh

Are you waiting all the time
For some modern things you like?
Have you ever broken your own heart?

Say it once, say it twice
To yourself, to the night
The Shaman's prayer, it's natural
When it's quiet, it gets low

And as your castle crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy

And as Heaven wraps around you
And she will
Take it easy
Take it easy

Say it once, say it twice
To yourself, to the night
The Shaman's prayer, it's natural
When it's quiet, it gets low

And as your castle crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy

And as Heaven wraps around you
And she will
Take it easy
Take it in
Take it easy
Take it in
Take it easy
Take it in, easy

Great job as always Kulp, didn't even think of Shamans!

Have some suggestions:

If youre holding on to life
If you've got to let it go
Connected to a millions stars tonight

Say it once, say it twice
To yourself and to your light
The Shamans can't always know
when it's right, and when its not

When the music crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy, easy

Say it once, say it twice
To yourself and to the night
The Shaman's there, you've always known
when it's right, it gets low

When your music crumbles down
And it will
Take it easy
Take it easy

I really like Harmonium's take on the lyrics!  I haven't listened to it enough to have any of my own opinions (bad nessaholic).  If you're right, it could be more writings about her illness and how she had writers block.

I am very much looking forward to this song! Despite the noisy recording, it sounds amazing. I cannot believe you guys could decipher words out of that, though, the lyrics are beautiful.

That song is flawless. Can't believe people are talking when Vanessa is in the same room. Anyway, the world's full of idiots, that's no news. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, I can tell that even with people talking over it. Vanessa is the best and she's only getting better. Thank you Vanessa! And to the person who uploaded it!

Here it is : http://www.mediafire.com/?zlee1bl8jubi9mo
That link was originally posted by Pushglow in the Live shows thread. All credits go to her or him of course.

That song will make you cry. I know it will when i'll hear it in a cleaner recording, but i can just imagine and get the vibe from it. seriously i haven't heard something that good since Rabbits came out haha. I'm working in a store and they were playing Ordinary Day (which is my fave from BNN) but i was shocked at how i don't care about this record compared to the true masterpieces that are Harmonium, H&T and Rabbits. I just realized that yesterday, V is the best artist ever, I just needed to get that out, sorry about that Cheesy

Thanks, Rabbits.

Nessa does it again, in my opinion. I like the lyrics especially, although I'm not that hot on the title.  Smiley Is this the sound and direction she's going for with this album. If so, it looks like she's getting even more shaman/seance type music.

I was wondering if someone tried playing it on the piano? I think I get the intro and the chorus right but can't hear what she's playing in the verses. I love that song SO MUCH. It brings me in another universe, this needs to be recorded. I'm sure it will¨. It has to. I won't let another 'All is Well' or 'Best Behaviour' pass me by Wink
