how did that go? was the crowd respectful?  I'm just curious because on the facebook phantom friends, someone can go but is hesitating because of not being able to truly enjoy.  how many songs did she plan then?

From what I can remember from the recordings/report, the crowd was pretty bad and loud at that one.

the folder with recordings from back then is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?zn50ui9siv37f

i did record the whole show, but i no longer have that file, unfortunately (someone on here still might). i believe the set was just the songs in the folder above + "a thousand miles". but it's definitely a short set with a loud crowd. the 2010 show was under 30 minutes. if i remember perfectly it was 22 minutes.

honestly though, i enjoyed myself. because it's not a music venue - it's a clothing store - they simply set up a piano in the middle of this store, and i was able to mill around way early and see her come in (haha lord victor was fascinated by my shoes and was sniffing around them... got to pat him, such an adorable adorable creature) and listen to the soundcheck. because it's FNO, it's expected cameras will be rolling, and i didn't feel weird about recording. also, it was the first time she played the softer "fair weather friends."

but yes, it is a noisy crowd.

caught the whole thing on video this time. not that that's much, since it was an EXTREMELY short set at 3 songs.

1. who's to say (♥♥♥)
2. a thousand miles (full song singalong from the crowd. i still think it's cute)
3. i don't want to be a bride

skye steele gets more good looking every time.

they couldn't find her a chair (what.) and i think performing standing up threw her off.

"i don't want to be a bride" was FLAWLESS.

I can't believe she had to play standing up!! I guess it's a good thing she only had 3 songs.
That's awesome that you went though and that you had a good time!

Get the lady a damn chair! I found some pics from last night:

The image code isn't working or I would have posted it fully. Looks like they found a kind of bar stool, although you really can't play well if it's the wrong height. Thanks for reviewing, I hope you had a nice night and the crowd wasn't too loud. Skye looks cute :)

and I thought the chair thing was kinda funny  :P
unfortunate for her, but still just a tiny bit comical.
