I think the only songs I dislike from the compendium of Vanessa is Get Good and California, oh and that song she released earlier this year as an EP sampler. Young Heart or something. They are a different direction than I like in her music. I'm still super excited to see the new stuff!

Just listened to FWF at the Hollywood Cafe from a few years back. I think what I miss the most about her old stuff is the passion. Like I know this is her dream record and I'm proud of her and do like her new stuff, but I miss when she would almost yell the songs sometimes. It seemed so much more real. I know dreamy and ethereal is her goal, and it's beautiful, but I've been listening to Harmonium and her demo tape nonstop recently.

love the demo tape and early demo stuff because to me, they are the most raw emotional songs. you can really feel it in her voice, you can feel the thick emotion.

Anybody else think the album might be delayed a bit past October? It just seems like we should have a release date and tour news by now.  Hmmm who knows haha

i wouldn't worry. lana del rey's new album comes out next month and the release date was only announced a week or so ago.

Please no pushback!! I do believe it's happening though, she got some good press coverage for her EP, the album's been done for a long time, she's ready to go back on the road again.. it would be a stupid move to delay the record.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2015/08/27/vanessa-carlton-willows-liberman-premiere/32453093/

Song, release date, album cover  ;D

Just when the kids started to complain.

But cool. So we're back to having Vanessa on the cover. :D Minimalist. I like it. Though I hope there's some artwork. I LOVE her album artwork.

And Willows. That harmonizing. Goosebumps.

Also, is it just me or does the song have an escalating percussion beat? Not a musician so... dunno if it makes sense but like the percussion is not consistent... It seems to get faster with the song? That was interesting.
