The production on this album is amazing. It's like a Hear the Bells aesthetic like HTB was the easel and she painted this album using those colors.

All the songs are listenable and some points in the production make you wanna close your eyes and just take in the moment.

I'm so proud of her.  :'(

That's awesome! :)

Could you please share the booklet pic? I'm on vacation right now, so I won't get my copy until I get home in November.

AG.

I listened to Liberman walking to the laundromat with fall leaves falling and then a few hours later in the bath tub. It made me so happy. Commercial success aside I hope Vanessa knows how much this album means to at least one person.

Yes, I got it from Vanessa's store. This pic isn't mine, but here's the booklet photo:

Great writeup in Glide: http://www.glidemagazine.com/150602/vanessa-carlton-liberman-album-review/

The money quote: "While still sweet, soft and angelic, her vocals also sound notably stronger and more seasoned, and she plays with them in enchanting ways. She sounds confident and collected, with polished and sophisticated harmonies that hit all the rights notes at the right times. Her songs are still full of catchy pop hooks, but they’re more subdued and controlled. The instrumentals are lush, but not melodramatic or overly orchestral, as with much of Carlton’s earlier stuff."

I think that sums up perfectly what a lot of us really like about Liberman.
Check out my newest piano instrumentals, "Willows" and "Blue Pool"!

The album is beautiful. Both of my copies arrived. I'm so glad the deluxe version exists. Songs like "River" and "Nothing Where Something Used To Be" are better suited to the piano and vocal format, IMO. Stunning.

I agree with the reviews too - you can totally hear the confidence in her voice. She's using it as an instrument now.

OK. So... I'm not the only person who pre-ordered who hasn't received any update on the status of the shipment or anything, right?

I didn't get any update or anything BUT the CD was delivered by FedEx this morning (and I'm in Switzerland). Such a great and unexpected surprise. The record is amazing. Production, songwriting, Vanessa's voice... It's perfect. Thank you Vanessa for another masterpiece. The front picture of the booklet with Sid is beautiful! I also love the fact that she names Victor in her thank you list.
