I have Nelly's 1st album, Whoa, Nelly! and I like the songs, "Shit On The Radio", "Legend", "I'm Like A Bird", "Turn Off The Lights", and "I Will Make U Cry".  I didn't like the first single to her new album, but is the rest of the album kinda like the first one?

I hated the song promiscuous and the video...I expected something better. And the song No Hay Igual sounds like M.I.A.

I saw both of her performances on SNL all I have to say is WTF? Wow. I didn't care for either of those songs. The last one had a good beat, techno groove. I will have to hear the rest.

I'm not a fan of Nelly Furtado, but I always had respect for the fact that her music seemed to be more intelligent than most other songs on the charts at the time. But "Promiscuous Girl"? From the album "Loose"? WTF? I read the lyrics to that song and it is poorly written. (If you like the song, that's your choice, and I hope you enjoy it, no disrespect intended.) I just think it sounds skanky.

BTW if you're a very promiscuous girl, having sex with many, many men, you will get, er... 'loose'. Lol.

^ I feel the exact same way about her new album. I mean, how do you go from a song like "powerless" and a whole album (folklore)that was about heritage and strengh and artistic vision to a song called "promiscuous"... I'm really disaponted at her.

Yeah. As an artist she can express herself however she chooses, but I feel that there are enough songs in the charts about sex... most songs about sex aren't tasteful, they're nasty. I'm not a prude, I like sex, but not in a dirty way, like sleeping with lots of different people

I saw her on SNL last night...just her second performance.  Haven't heard "Promiscuous" yet, but I think this one was called "Man Eater"....it was strange, though.  She was dancing & kept messing with her hair.  It was like a train wreck & I was staring, bewildered.
