Ugh.. I disagree.  Pedestrian would be the understatement of the year.   I need to check liner notes when I get home and see if it says who the "drummer" is.

Um... she uses a drummer. In fact Kenny Aronoff played on TSR and he's one of the best drummers around.

There might be some programming of beats and stuff (in the new material I hear a little, but mostly real drums), but most of what is on TSR is real.

jessica

WOAH there.  If most of whats on TSR is REAL then she has the WORST drummer EVER.  Its all hollow and fake and VERY static.  No energy, no spark.  Nothing.  I have a good ear, and if he convinced ME that he was a drum machine, then hes AWFUL.

OMG, have you LISTENED to all you wanted?!?  The drums in that song are offensive!
---Andrew

Umm... yea.

First of all, I had TSR before most people, so YES I have listened to "All you wanted", in fact I listened to that record a ridiculous amount of times.  I didn't say the drumming was genius, I didn't say anything at all about it really, just that K.A. IS regarded as one of the best drummers around (he is ALWAYS requested for studio work on huge artist's albums) and he played on "Everywhere".

Yeah, it is nothing mind blowing, but it's a pop record marketed for AAA audience, so it doesn't surprise me.

Personally I think the drums on my record are better than hers :P

I will meet you before the show if you want..
just let me know when and where..
we will exchange #'s or something
we could even meet before the show ...chill ...hangout ,,
who knows ..Unless you are skurred

Cool. I'll send you my cell # privately. I'm honestly not sure what is going on because I might be meeting a friend of mine... but I'll definitely see her after the show if not before.

I don't think we can leave here before noon, though, so most likely I'll be there around 4 or 5, depending on the traffic.

I'll have my husband with me, so no funny business boys! HAHAHA :)

yay! :)

Nah, I think we agree pretty much. I just think you could find a lot worse examples to put in your "worst drummer evva" exhibition.

I get more annoyed..huh
by those constant breathy noises..huh
that Ms Branch insists on putting after every line..huh

Ugh.  If this guy is considered a great stuido drummer than the world of drumming is in serious trouble.  I listened to Everywhere earlier today just to refresh my memory, and I've had a total of 3 drum lessons when I was 10 and I could play the drums on that song.

And there is a drum machine on everywhere, but there is also a live drummer. *shrug*.  So i was half right on that one.  didn't check any other songs though.

lol! Tori Amos does that too! I don't get it!  I love Tori and MB, but they could do without the heavy breathing.
