The Chicago show was real cool. Danny and I rode around Chicago for most of the day, called Jess, then just chilled out. It was raining hard than a mo' fizzle when we got to the venue at around 4, so we just parked and chilled.
HOB is killer for security, and we couldn't even find the back door or whatever so we just kicked it until 5:30 when we went to the HOB Resturant to eat so we could do the Pass The Line stuff... We saw all of the M&G people with the bright blue ass "Are You Happy Now" tour pendants lol. We waited about a half hour, and were done eating by 6:30 and got in the line or whatever. The Thermasilk "Heat Team" straight was out in force, now giving everyone the "AYHN" tour pendants. ... We got to go upstairs at about 6:50, and we were 3 or 4 people from the front of the stage a bit to the left. The show was supposed to start at 8:00, but the stage crew or whatever was messing around with all of the different guitars until 8:30... I am not sure if someone was missing or what but they did not start the damn show until 8:50 LOL. Thankfully it was just Michelle, so we didn't have to sit around too long lol.
Anyway, the show was so hot, Michelle had that fire. She was hitting EVERY note and the new songs were hype. "Find Your Way Back", "Where Are You Now?", "Breathe", and "Tuesday Morning" were the ones I liked most. She worked the crowd pretty well too. "Game of Love" acoustic was as Danny would say, was straight the hard LOL. It was awesome. The setlist was the same as the show Tricia attended, but no Jessica Harp at the end for the encores.
Like Danny said, if HP can live up to how it sounds on the live tip, it will be a classic. Michelle has gotten so much better, she seems like she is at the top of her game right now so maybe she will truly blow up with this album and everyone who hasn't recognized finally will. We did not really stay around to see if we could meet her, but we did get some dope MB stickers outside the venue, and had it not been raining we could have gotten these killer posters they hung outside of the venue. All in all it was the bomb show, one of the best I have been to.
