I still don't understand what you mean
(sowwy, must be coz I'm Dutch, lol)

If you open Paint, and then you paste a piccie into that, and then you click on 'save' and then you can choose what you want it to be saved as, you can choose bitmap instead of .jpg or .gif,
or.....
is that not your question?

LOL- Sorry to confuse you...

On the paint I have when you try to save a picture it makes you save it as a bmp and it will not let you save it as a JPG
