lol in patty griffin's 1,000 kisses CD cover she has the lyrics for a song called "tomorrow night" and who ever printed out the lyrics messed up...

"you're lips are so tender, you're heart is beating fast..." is what it says...

It's a great song though...

People get on my nerves . . . 'Tis all I'm saying.

Actually, it's not . . . When I buy a CD and I look at the lyrics and there's a grammatical error, I automatically like the band or artist less. Same with magazines, letters, books, whatever. Which is part of the reason why I hate Catcher in the Rye so much (besides the horrid ending).

I hate buying a record and the lyrics printed in the program are not the lyrics on the record.  Either a verse is missing or an extra verse is added, or words are wrong, or it's just always something.  I think the lyrics should be written in the program by the artists themselves.  Avril Lavigne did that, and though she's no grammar ace by any means, at least what she wrote is what's on the record.

I'm also going to be scrutinously looking over the Vanessa lyrics posted here, and I'll let you know if I pick up anything also and discuss it.

carnival
what is listed--
Quote
I never thought it'd hurt so bad.
I just wanted to love you;
Never thought it'd hurt so bad.
Never thought it'd feel so right;
I was just thinking of you.
Never thought it'd feel so right.

It's the age of the dawn when I look in your eyes
And I want what is ours before the night.
Don't you run from the show,
Cause I just want you to know that I love anyway,
And I will not let you go,
But you run everyday,
And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines through.

Tell me it won't hurt.
Never thought it'd hurt so bad
Funny how the story ends.
Remember the beginning.
Funny how the story ends.
Should never have looked so close.
I can see all your cracks --
Should never have looked so close--

It's the age of the dawn when I look in your eyes
And I want what is ours before the night.
Don't you run from the show,
Cause I just want you to know that I love anyway,
And I will not let you go,
But you run everyday,
And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines through.
Tell me it won't hurt.
Tell me it won't hurt. Tell me it won't hurt.
Tell me it won't, but you run from the show
And I just want you to know that I love anyway
And I will not let you go, but you run everyday
And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines through.

Tell me it won't hurt. Tell me it won't hurt.
I just wanted to love you.
Tell me it won't hurt.
I just wanted to love you.
Tell me... Tell me it won't hurt.

what i think it should be will be in dark blue

(no I)Never thought it'd hurt so bad.
I just wanted to love you;
Never thought it'd hurt so bad.
Never thought it'd feel so right;
I was just thinking of you.
Never thought it'd feel so right.

It's the edge of the dawn when I look in your eyes
And I want what is ours before the light.
Don't you run from the show,
Cause I just want you to know that I love anyway,
And I will not let you go,
But you run everyday,
And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines through.

Tell me it won't hurt.

Funny how the story ends.
You Should never have looked so close.
I can see all your cracks
Should never have looked so close

It's the edge of the dawn when I look in your eyes
And I want what is ours before the light.
Don't you run from the show,
Cause I just want you to know that I love anyway,

And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines through.
Tell me it won't hurt.
Tell me it won't hurt. Tell me it won't hurt.
Tell me it won't hurt, Tell me it wont, but you run from the show
And I just want you to know that I love anyway
And I will not let you go, but you run everyday
And I can't keep chasing you through this old
Carnival where the sun shines through.

Tell me it won't hurt. Tell me it won't hurt.
I just wanted to love you.
Tell me it won't hurt.
I just wanted to love you.
Tell me... Tell me it won't hurt.

hmmm, I've always thought that in Papa it was "nestled in you calculated moonshine" in stead of "emotion"  i have 2 different live recordings and i really think it's moonshine.  Is it just me?
It is a crime to kill a neighbor, and an act of heroism to kill an enemy.  But who is an enemy and who is a neighbor is purely a matter of social definition.  - E.R. Leach
