No.
Ringu is better.

Ringu didn't scare me half as much as the ring did. Like when they show the girls face in ringu it's just a paused blurred picture. In the ring when they open that closet door and zoom in on her face I nearly went through the ceiling!!!

I don't know, Ringu had the... Eye. Now that was much scarier than when Samara just looked up at Noah in The Ring and killed him.

it was good

the movie didnt have good lighting though, very dark
and those loud noices when it was sopossed to be scary were kind too loud.

YAY, teehee.
And fyi people, the japanese version is called 'Ring', not 'Ringu'.
Ringu is the actual phonetic transcript of the english word Ring in japanese but dumb international distributor for it decided to call it 'Ringu'. Duh.

Thats right Ring sounds like Ringu in Japanese
From http://ringworld.somrux.com/faq.htm

Q: I've seen the title written as Ring, The Ring, and even Ringu. What's up with that?

A: Because the Japanese language has no articles (a/an, the) the decision of whether to include them or not depends on the translator. Also, Japanese sounds are vowel-consonant pairings, so the word "ring" would sound like ringu. Again, transcription is at the whim of the translator. For the record, movie/poster art bears the title in Japanese script with the English tagline "the Ring.

Well duh!  that was the scariest or most gruesome parts. The movie was really more creapy than horrific.
