So we have some fun coming up with a lot of holidays, so i thought it would be good for us to begin planning early. Since there are 8 days of Hanukkah i'm looking for a total of 8 logos, one to be represented each day of Hanukkah. The rules are exactly the same as the Thanksgiving Logo...
1) has to have a pic of VC, unicorn, or something VC related
2) has to have NESSAholics.com Forums written on it somewhere
3) has to be along the lines of a Hanukkah theme
4) it must be 200x91 pixels
5) you may only submit 1 (but you can change it anytime until voting period)

Hanukkah begins on the 19th, so all logos have to be submitted by Thurs, the 11th and the voting will go until Thurs the 18th. The top 8 winners will have their logo used each per day (and will share the 24th and 25th with Xmas Logos).

We agreed (myself and the rest of the NESSAholics.com staff) that no staff members will be creating logos. We're doing this for everyone else =)

im not jewish but i think that thir is 8 candles on the menorah and i think we should have one that has another candle lit every day
like that one that was made above that should be the last day

theres really 9 candles. Hanukkah really starts I believe this year on the 20th but on the night before you light the..ohhh geeze I forget what it's called...but you light the candle thats in the middle that you take to light the rest of the candles.

by the way it is called the shom-esh
(the middle candle)
and the menorah is actually called a channukiah
a regular menorah has 6 or 7 candles a channukiah has 9 with the middle one raised

and as joey and i discussed before the word channukah can be spelled many ways however as a hebrew student i have chosen to use one of the CH versions because the letter the word starts with has a very gutterial CHHHHH sound --- anywho to learn more about channukah and other holidays please visit the international holidays thread....

thanks aaron you can spell it any way you like it is transliteration no matter what way you spell it - but it's a ch sound - americans have a hard time (especially southern ones) pronouncing the deep gutterial CH - (think a cat hissing) - so most americans say it han
