i'll have pictures soon but i didn't use a digital camera so i have to get them developed n things. but dont worry! And i'm sure other ppl will have theirs up real soon!

other random things from yesterday:

-Stephen Jenkins was pretty obsessed with finding out about NESSAfamilies... he kept asking ppl if they had them, and who started it and things... haha it was really funny.

-Me and Steph put our arms around eachother and started singing paradise along with Steve playin the piano and Nessa singing too... then Holly and Katia joined in! *tear*  :)

-The story about her Clown Shirt... haha she was amazed that people knew about it.  But she told us the whole story of how she smuggled it from overseas, and when she had to write down the things she had purchased before coming back to the US, she wrote down "Clown Shirt" even though she didn't really need to write down clothing, and they took her aside and questioned her for like 10 minutes. hahaha!

(this will be added to later) hehe...

well, I am not going to do it justice and I want the others to tell you the details from their perspective s well but...I got there about 2:30 and only Steph and Toni were there. Then Clarisse FROM BRAZIL showed up and Gina. Then a camera man came out and told us he was going to film us and just asked our names and where we were from and explained that he flew in from Detroit yesterday to do the filming and had followed Vanessa around the day before. Then we were the first group that were taken into the studio, but we had to use the ladies room first. Stephen Jenkins greeted us,in a grey running suit, and he was very sweet and professional and, dare I say, charming and told us we were going to get a chance to talk about why we were there and what Vanessa's music meant to us, individually, one at a time, into the camera. The studio was very cute and comfortable with black leather couches around and a stage with a piano and directors chairs around on the stage.

oh and I met Toni's mom and Gina's mom

YAY FOR THE MOMS

they had to wait outside

and before we got to go in Vanessa strolled through the lobby in typical NY fashion, anonymously, but we knew it was her, with a hat and scarf on along with her coat

later I think she said she walked four blocks

did anyone mention that we had a bonafide blizzard here today?

there is so much I can write
but I was struck by a few things in summary:
- Vanessa looked so together, I mean totally settled about her music and where it comes from and how it works and about her career and her future somehow, not distracted, like she has learned a lot in the last year, she said she missed touring although she hated it when she was doing it, except when she was on stage
- Stephen and Vanessa are so good together, I was skeptical but in person you can't deny it
- and she wanted to play something brand new but Stephen kinda of said no save it, and she said there would be totally new stuff on the new CD bc she thought that's the way it should be, have some surprises
- V likes living in San Francisco, at which point I boo'd, she said she looked at it at first as a palate cleanser compared to NY but it ended up being more like an entre, she asked who was from NY and I raised my hand and  told her to come back 'NY needs you' and she said she would have an apt here, phew..............

more later

Nessafamilies, lol, he must have been reading some ooooooold threads....I just learned about them myself!

It's cool that Stephen was so nice to you guys, I had kinda gotten the impression from some appearances that he was a bit of a smug guy, but, that was just how he came across to me.

But anyway, this is just making me more and more excited for the album!  Did anyone mention the first demo tape, does she know we have it?
