OMG SO GOOOOOOOOD! i can't believe it! aaaah! freaking best night ever!
there weren't many people there, like 50 or so, so we were all up close to the stage! He was so good, he was sick though and was going to cancel but decided not too. He sounded pretty kick ass if i do say so myself for being sick! Aaaaah i keep thinking about it and being all happy :-P anyways i brought my recorder and got about 98% of the show taped, it cut out after the beginning of Come On, and then i didn't notice it stopped until the first part of Let It Be was done, but i switched the side so i got the other half of it taped.
He came out and sang "Stay" and "Wicked Little Town" on the piano, and then he played "Setting Sun" on the guitar and the violin at the very end. which by the way his violin is waaaayyy cool. Then he played "Revolution" which was awesome too! He went back to the piano and played "Give It All Away", "Falling Down" to which Gina screamed loudly too :-P "Come On", "Let It Be" which was amaaaazing and then "Criminal" which made me happy cuz that's what i put on my tshirt :-D
then he went off stage and the guy was like "are there any jelenbeans in the audience?" and he did a contest for the person with the most creative jelenbean name to get to announce Ben back on to stage to do an encore and we were all pointing to Gina, but some mom got it cuz it was mother's day. He came back out and played "Christine" and then added in "Slow Down" because his voice was feeling better, then played "She'll Hear You" which was awesome, and then "Rocks"!
It was so freaking awesome! we got to meet him afterwards! everyone rushed in line so we hung out till we were about the last ones in line (there were a few people behind us) so we could have more time to talk to him and stuff :-P
He was very impressed with Gina's jelenbean name, had a moment with her and called her beautiful, and then he signed stuff for me and we got a pic and i was like "wow you're like five feet taller than me" and i looked up and he was all smiling and laughing and i was all *melt* so i had a moment with him....aaaah so freaking awesome.
yeah so it was a kick ass night. Got two and a half hours of sleep, but hell it was so freaking worth it. :-D
