I got his new "Rejected EP"! It's REALLY good! I was kinda surprised at how the main instrument seems to be guitar rather than piano though.
It has 5 songs:
Driver
Teenage Suburban Queen
Room 1023
Tell Me Everything
Baby Girl

I guess it's all the songs that were rejected by someone (Ben, Producer, etc), except for Baby Girl which is a new one (and my favorite!)
I think the songs are good... so if those are the rejected ones I cant wait to see which ones have made the album!

Here are the lyrics to "Baby Girl"! It's soooo pretty!
He wrote it shortly after his sister died  :cry:

yep, and the other person singing is Sebastian, his 13 year old brother, who has a woooonderful voice.

most of the songs ben wrote while on the road, so they pretty much had to be played on guitar, since you can't really fit a piano on a tour bus :-P

ummm i'm not sure how old she was or what she died from, but i know she was young. i want to say 11, but i'm not sure if that was nina, or another of his siblings.

he's still recording his 2nd cd, so probably sometime laaaate late next year :-)

but in the meantime you should buy his EP off the Ben Jelen eStore!

i think she was like 18 or something
and she died unexpectantly in her sleep, he said the doctors call it 'adult cot death' where you just die in your sleep for no reason... she was perfectly healthy.. she just went to sleep and never woke up.. strange huh?

that's so sad...a good friend of the family had their child die of sids, which is basically what she died of, only for babies.
