that i found interesting.
i was at my piano lesson this morning and we were looking at Ordinary Day in my VC piano book bc im learning that song. It says "Please come with me, see what i see, touch the stars for time will not freeze, time will not freeze..."
i thought "hmm, i always said 'flee'"
so i went home and listened to the song, it sounds like flee i thought, then i looked at the BNN cover and the lyrics indeed said flee
anyone know why the sheet music says freeze and the song says flee?

+

soooo many errors in the book

OD-lyric typo + music written for "please come with me see what I see..." is not what vanessa plays.(plus the one stated above)

Unsung- I know it says it but WHY did they change the key from C# to C its just stupid!

ATM- the music for "making my way downtown..." is written different to what Vanessa play's it sounds the same in context but...ach i would have to show you.

PB-Completely different to what Vanessa plays, Vanessa just plays the chords and has some other ornaments but she NEVER plays the vocal part on piano.

Rinse is excellent.

Sway is perfect too.

Paradise is dead on.

Prince-I thought it was quite cute how they gave u the bass part to play on piano for the intro.

Paint It Black - I guess they used the sheet music that is in the Rolling Stones book.

Wanted - Absolute right

Twilight - One lyrical error it says "Stained by a role" when its stained with a role, "Stained by a role" comes later.

they should have had me to overview it before it was published :D

wow, soo many things are wrong. thats so interesting.

What do u guys suggest i learn next? i know OD and Twilight

well of course ATM and Wanted is freak'n awesome to play on piano. and i love playing the base part on prince. oh and i love jazz so Unsung is a great rock jazzy kind of song. those are my faves to play. and sway too.  oh and paradise. lol

From Vanessa, my favorites to play are :

Papa - challenging, fun!
ATM - show off!
Wanted - fun fun..
(Dark) Carnival - so easy, confusing
Twilight - Moving

In that order

The Pretty Baby Radio Edit on piano is a close 6th.

lol. i figured out a piano easy version for Papa but the real thing is too complicated for me to firgure it out by ear. dark carnival wasn't hard to figure out at all. the base part is hard to hear on the tape but i think i have it. *shrugs*

ugh, i hate playing twilight, too boring. but it's a lovely song. and of course wanted is always fun. yeah, ATM is definitely a show off piece for me.

I have taken lessons for about 8/9 years. I noticed that on the ATM sheet music that it goes b-b-b-b-a-b-a-f-b-f-b-d-e-d-b  (the 2nd set)
instead of ending in c#! play it like that!
I also noticed she does something diff. in the left hand of the riff part.  I think she goes e-f-f-d-e, e-f-f-d
Its hard to explain

What they have on the piano book is most definately right. No offense, but you go straight into the bbbbaba... part again so you start on b. I dunno, I think the sheet music is perfectly fine.

The base is G Bb (together the first time, and then F A (together)

and the treble is FDDFDDFDFDDGDDAD... repeated

I know, me too! But at least try what I have for Carnival. It's pretty easy. And then for the Pre-Chorus part you play Dm (chord) in the treble and crawl down (D, C#, C, B) in the bass. Listen and you'll see. The chorus is :

CEG (8 times), CEAb (8), CEA (8), CEBb (8) then repeat. In the bass you can play the 5th note (G, Ab, A....) an octave lower. Nuffing hard.
