"Pretty Baby" Piano Notes

Okay...First off, hi everyone! I'm new here...anyway...Okay so I bought the piano notes for "Pretty Baby" from musicnotes.com and I'm pretty good at it, but here's the problem: The notes aren't written the way VC plays it on the piano!! I've heard like two live audio files and it is totally different, I like her version better.

Do any of you have the notes for the way VC plays it??? I would soooo appreciate it if you could send it to me (by email or AIM/YIM)!!  I have Finale, just in case some of you do too.

Does the "Be Not Nobody" songbook have the exact notes the way VC plays it?  Hmm...Maybe I will buy it...

I know what you mean, she does play if differently, but I think the songbook for 'Be Not Nobody' is the same as you got from musicnotes.com! I wish I could help, but I don't have the version the plays, I just mess around with the one in the songbook!!

Hmm...I wish I could have her version.  I'm sure someone must have it!  I just love the way she plays the part where it goes "Can you hold me, and never let go?  When you touch me, it is me that you own," it's awesome.

It is the same way in the book. The way she plays it in the beginning is correct in the book except for all of the melody notes. So basically the main chords and the left hand is all you need but at the end of "fall for you" you play d c# c#. the chorus is has the left hand correct but in the right hand all you play is ae (a fifth) then ad (a fourth) ac# (a third) then ab (a second). then when it changes to "I'll be the embrace" The right hand changes again. Your best bet is to get an accoustic version of the song. (which i would be happy to give you over aol/msn) and you should be able to figure it out if you are a decent pianist at all.

Thanks for the most part!!  But the part I really wanted was the bridge-section.

And I've only been playing piano for like 2 years, so I can't figure out notes by myself :cry:...Wish I could.

no one can really help you on this since none of the "vanessa version" pretty baby has been transcribed to paper..... you'll have to figure it out yourself
