Australia is smack bang under the hole in the ozone layer ...
EVERYONE burns here ... even if you natural tan like me ...

The only people taht don't tan are the people with SUPER dark skin ... olive skin doesnt even count ...
You can get sunburnt IN WINTER here!!!
I was swimming last week, and the backs of my legs and my back got VERY BURNT!!! (It's winter in Australia ... )
Believe it. I only swam for an hour ...

10 minutes in the sun, i'm not joking i'm red. We have SPF 50+ sun screen here ... that's how bad it is ... it's really bad ... all thanks to global warming and pollution and bad environmental things ...

the oceans are rising, the ozone layer is getting bigger ...
Great isn't it?

lol Zena you sound like you need the SPF 100 my mom got me! i'm really prone to skin cancer so during the summer i put it on all the time - that stuff is like a freaking force field around your skin

OH - and a little trick i read in a magazine to see how long your sunblock will last: It takes 5 minutes for suntan lotion to set in to your skin and then slowly wears off every 5 minutes after..so take whatever the SPF is and multiply it by 5, and that's how long it will last before you need to put more on! But if you burn easily you should still re-apply every 45 minutes or so if you're going to be out in the sun

100 O_O
When you described it as Force Field, I imagined your face buzzing and flickering ... like a freal force field LOL

Yeah buring is very bad.
And make sure to check freckles and moles for a change in shape color or size as that can be an indication of skin cancer.
Burning is so bad for your skin.
Best way to get rid of it is MOSTURISE!!!
Aloe Vera or just normal Vitamin A or E based creams ought to do it,
AND DRINK WATER becasue a sun burn is after all still a first degree burn means you body is dehydrated ...

LMAO hahaha nooo no not an actual forcefield :-P thought that would be interesting to see....

yeah it's SO important to check any moles, especially ones that are hazy. I have quite a few that had to be taken off because they were starting to change...i think that's one of the things people most ignore

I can get a great tan due to being Italian but I did burn my knee off by crawling across the beach on Memorial Day over coals that were burning beneath the sandfrom a campfire from the night b4. OUCH! My knee is scary looking! 8O
