I got my braces off today!!!  :D
I had them on for 5 or 6 years... so you have no idea how exciting this is for me!  :D
Anyways, yeah, I'm so happy I thought I'd share!  :D

Hey, that is great for you!  I remember when I had my braces taken off.

I remember it feeling slick in front.  you notice that after having sharp metal on the front of your teeth for so long.  Five or six years?

The funny thing is I remember being attracted to girls with braces back in high school...lol.....I think it makes their eyes sparkle.....that is the reason I remember.

are you showing your spectacular smile off to everyone?

when my sister got hers off she was flaunting her teeth/smile around to everyone, she loved it. She said her mouth felt lighter. lol

I've had mine 3 years I think, and I think I get them off soon!! I'm really excited too!

Gotta be exciting tho! Keep brushin those teeth! Haha

yes, it is a very weird feeling... my teeth feel slimy without the metal on it. I've brushed my teeth 20 times today!

and yes, I do smile more now. I can actually smile now... before my smile was horrible. My mouth was so full of metal that I couldnt get the corners up, but now I can!

And I love my retainers... They're clear so you cant tell they're there unless I point them out! And they're comfortable and easy to talk with! I was afriad I'd get the traditional metal one, so when I saw my orthodontist had this for me, I was happy.

Oh my side I know exactly what you mean! I NEVER want to smile in pics b/c of all that crap in my mouth! And my yearbook picture looked soooo nasty this year b/c I was trying to smile while keeping my mouth shut, and so the guy was like super goofy so I was laughing at him and in the pic it looked like I was biting my lower lip with fake metal teeth.  :cry:

But once their gone, I'm gonna be a smile machine!

I actually don't know...My mom said HOPEFULLY by the end of the summer...I just want them off for my next yearbook picture...which is at the begining of the school year...

CONGRATZ!!! that`s like freedom isn`t it?!!, I had bracelets for like 5-6 years, when I took them off ( like 5 years ago) it was just like complete freedom, I wanted to smile all the time heheh
