well i just saw it. very very good. better than the last two movies if you ask me. and i thought they stuck to the book nicely too. although they did leave out minor things like all but one quiditch game, and who wrote the map and so on... otherwise, it was very good for the amount of info they had to get into an hour and a half movie

i saw it last night too! it was excellent! almost all of the shows were sold out, we got in to the next to last showing, and luckily got really good seats! this surpasses the first two movies i think....you can tell that the actors have really grown up and fit in to their characters well, their acting was much better....the special affects...were so awesome! aaah i need to see it again :-P there were some things they left out, and a couple of things that they tweaked, but for the most part i think they stuck to the plot line very well.....the twins were so funny! there were a few people in line who dressed up  all in all i would hiiiiighhlyyyy recommend it

i knooooowww what you mean! dad said he read an article where the director said he wanted the movie to be shorter, which is why he cut out some of the side stories...my only complaint is that i would have liked to have seen that and not have the movie going so fast, but that's all!

It's true that the movie seemed reallllllly short to me.
When it gets to the scene *SPOILER* where Harry and Sirius are attacked by the dementors and Hermione and Harry turns back time and Harry saved his other self and Sirius*SPOILER ENDS*, I was like "whoa, already there?!?!"

How can you not have the side stories? That sounds really stupid...I heard POA was better left to the imagination...I'm going to have to see for myself but I'm kind of scared now. The 3rd book was my favorite of all the books...I don't want it ruined....

My friend is dressing as a wizard.  Freak.

How dare you >_> Just kidding :) I wouldn't dress like that unless I had a totally accurate costume... and then only at night..., but for SW:Ep3 I just may go in Dark Jedi robes. :D

Yep, me and Keith went to see it this afternoon, damn it was awesome.
PoA>SS>>>>>>CoS in my opinion.
Now I can't wait for Goblet of Fire, my favorite book *_* It's gotta be like 3 hours long.

you should still see it. they didn't cut out that much. here's the thing: they didn't explain who Padfoot, Wormtail, and those guys were, there was only one quiditch match, they skipted some of the dementor encounters, and that's about it of all i can remember. i promise it won't ruin the book for you.

Ok, apparently I'm the only one here who didn't really like the movie. I can't even explain...
I mean, the movie is really good! Like the way they turn back the time and all... It's really good how it's just like how I imagined it would be. But it's just way too different from the other 2 and too different from the book.
I felt it was too short and Alfonso cut out too many things he shouldn't have.
The special effects are awesome tho! The hipogriff (sp???) is really cool and the dementors... ah, they're just how they were in my head...
Oh, but the new Dumblodore... omg, I didn't like him at all... Cuz the first one was peaceful and the new one well he's just too energetic if you know what I mean...
It's weird tho cuz I think it's the best movie out of the three but I didn't like it  8O  lol can you understand??
And I'm actually going to watch it again in a few minutes haha

The exact reason I am trying to keep myself from reading PoA again before seeing the film... though it's hard! I want to read it but I know I'll be disappointed if I read it beforehand...

Ah, anyway, Jules, you're one of the very few people (if not the only one!) I've read about so far who hasn't liked it... weirdo ;)

there's only four seasons
and this one's almost gone
these nights feel so good
but this one's almost gone

D"OH!!! I just finished reading the book yesterday in preparation for Thursday!!! Thursday!!! I had forgotten so much of it!!!
Maybe that was a mistake then LOL ...

But i'm not expecting them to put EVERYTHING in a 2 hour movie ...
I just want to see the dementors and the hippogriff and all that ... just to confirm how I imagine it is how they've done it ... book 3 is big though ...
and they're so cute the boys!!!
Pity Dumbledore died :-( He was good ...

I wonder how they're going to do book 4!!! Cuz book 4 is even longer and more detailed!!!
I wonder what book 6 ill be like. I didn't like book 5 much ..
