Honestly....
I think the label's gonna drop her. The album's never gonna come out. Otherwise, MTV or VH1 or an any other music channel or radio would AT LEAST mention something about Vanessa. But they didn't. So that's why I'm not expecting a new album.
 You're such a pessimist...
Okay, in all honesty, I am going to disagree with VT.
Vanessa's first album went platinum and she had the # 1 song of 2002. If the record company was smart, they wouldn't drop her. Most of the time, people who have platinum albums and huge hits don't get dropped.
Let me take you back a bit, to 1998/1999...
Billie Piper was HUGE in England. She had four #1 hits from the same album. Then when her second CD came out, she hit another #1 with the first single. The second single reached the top 5 in the UK charts. Then the third single basically flopped. What happens? The label drops her. I am really not trying to be negative, but look at the facts. This has also happened to Vitamin C--her first label dropped her, she joined V2 Records and then they dropped her as well after only releasing one song. Despite the fact that her debut album spawned three hit singles.
And how can I forget about lovely Mandy Moore? Her first three albums sold well considering the fact that she was the last of the 'pop princess' crew. When Coverage flopped (and don't say it didn't flop, Joey, cuz it did), Sony dropped her (even though she wants people to think she 'left' them).
My point is, no matter how popular a song/album is, things happen. Record labels are really stupid sometimes.
I'm not trying to be pessimistic.
