Promote 'White Houses'- List of Radio Stations etc

I called Q100 talked to Dylan - and he said that when fans bombard the station with requests it hurts the single - because they can't tell if it's a true want for the single from the general public - or if it's just the fanclub - and i had a heart to heart - about how it's my station and it's a great single and I wanna hear it --- in rotation - and he should listen to it if he hasn't... he was kinda hitting on me by the end of the convo - which is funny especially since lenny always jokes and says how gay he is... yep - dylan can be a tool... but he said he would talk to the station director about getting it in rotation - keep calling... keep emailing!
so, anywho - keep calling in and voting for VC... let's get white houses aired nationwide!

Ooh this is good- but what you said is kind of a contradiction- is it good to request it loads of times? Or does it just hurt the single? What was the overall message that he gave you? Oh and keep leading him on- we might get it on rotation, lol.

he didn't say white houses was bad - he said it isnt good when a fan club bombards the station - he said it is quite obvious that is what is going on - and that it doesn't help the single succeed - but i say that if we dont let them know we want them to play it - than everyone else wont be able to judge if they want it on the air!

I remember when i first heard ATM and wrote to Radio 1 immediately- it makes no difference whatsoever, when the company decides to release it in the UK it is only then that radio stations can (legally, i think) start playing it. So we'll just have to wait for that time i spose.

And Brian, if you read this- you should call. It'd be good a have a guy request it. Plus, they'd know it wasn't me. Again.

Ow! Sorry to hear that. And yeah, I'm going to bug Kiss and the Mix because I know Kiss had it, and it got jobbed in their Kiss Kombat by Yellowcard  :evil:. So I know if Kiss has it, the Mix has it because they are "sister stations". So I will request through them  :twisted:

The Mix just played "White Houses" because when they first played it in their little song test segment or whatever a bunch of people missed it and called/e-mailed that they wanted to hear it. The DJ asked people to call and tell what they thought of the song and I did  . I don't know if I am gonna get on the radio or not, but eh. Seems like peeps like the song, so hopefully they'll add it to the rotation. YAY, and thanks anyone who bugged them to play it here  :twisted:

EDIT: I was on the radio  . I sound all ghetto and distorted, and they chopped it up a bit but I was on, lol. The DJ said it sounded like it would be a hit, so we'll see  .

and I know everyone that works on that shift - but I
was trying to be sneaky and said

"I saw Vanessa Carlton on TRL today and wondered if you guys could play her new song"

and Thomas said "oh yeh, white houses...sure we will put that request in"

but I never heard them play it  :cry:

BUT THEY KNEW IT!!!

and were not just humoring me ... YAY
