Almost all the dates I've been on have been pretty much disasterous. There was the time my boyfriend invited his BEST friend on OUR FIRST DATE and totally ruined it (this wasn't just my first date with him, but also my first date EVER), then the time when me and this guy went to my friends quiencenera and he spent the entire time trying to dance with my "hot" best friend and would not stop checking out the other girls, and while we were waiting for my mom to pick us up I was shiverring cold and he didn't do anything about it.

Things are going crazy and I'm not sure who to blame...

technically speaking, i've been on one date. but i maintain that it doesn't count. First of all, it was a blind date - NEVER do that unless you really trust and really know the person setting you up. That's where I made my first mistake. Second, make sure it's actually a date where you can at least talk to the person. We were set up to meet at a haunted house - not the best of places to talk to anyone.

It was just a bad experience all around. For those who don't know, i'm freakishly short. 4'10". the guy was the SAME height as me o.O maybe i'm old fashioned, but the fact that he was THAT short freaked me out.

to top it off he came STONED. mmm yeah, kind of prevents that whole getting to know you thing when his attention is focused on anything shiny and a bag of doritos.

so my faith in dating is pretty much shot. :-P

hmm...

I'm gonna haveta go with either the time on Valentine's Day one day my ex came and picked me up, and took me to his mom's diner.  He had it all set up with candles, and he had one table with a huge teddy bear in the seat, and then he brought out this sooo yummy chocolate cake and made coffee & tea.  Mmm! It was so sweet.

But I think maybe I just prefer the little things, like yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to take a walk to the river... where theres a walk way & stuff, and we got ice cream and fed bread to the birds haha.  We're stupid, but it was so much fun :D

Haha, that is kinda scary... I went out with a guy once that was a lot taller than myself, (haha i am in the same freakishly small people boat that you are in, lol :P) and he kept laughing about me being short and how he was so much taller than me... and he wondered if the people around thought i was his little sister, and other stupid things.  it got to be rather annoying.  *looks around* erm... how did this turn into the crap date experience???

heh... *runs away*

I agree with Gina, it's the little things that count!
like I went on my first date with this guy to coffee. it was just coffee, but it was meaningful because of little things he did to show he cared. we had talked on the phone the night before and i mentioned I liked Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson, and he played them in the car. Then went we got to the place he purposely sat with his back to the basketball game so i'd have his full attention. and then afterwards he asked me if i had to be home right away because he wanted to talk to me more so we ended up driving around for more than an hour. and then he didnt even try for a goodnight kiss, which showed he didnt want ass. i went on 5 dates with him before he did! another night he played one of my favorite songs on the guitar and cooked for me. i guess that's why we're still good friends now even though we're not dating. he cares and he makes that known every day. he always wants to know that i'm ok, comfortable and safe. that's what's important i think.

My best date ever?
I went to his house, met his parents, we rented a scary movie  :D , then we ordered pizza, and cuddled/hugged/kissed pretty much the whole night.
It was wonderful.

I think the best date I ever have had so far is babysitting with my date. Rather interesting.

Man... if you give up on experiences after one try... you're gonna have a really boring life.

Edit: Also, you know what cracks me up?  Any time I see a thread from Holly asking a question about "What's your best X" or "What's your worst X" it's immediatly followed by Holly rambling on about some recent experience of hers.

So basically, every thread she starts is just her own personal blog, but she makes it a question so she can try and PRETEND like she cares about everyone elses responses.

lolz.

oh i'm not, but really...the guys in my highschool were worthless, so i didn't bother with them. and at the college i go to now, there's like three guys on campus and all of them are gay (<- exaggerating of course).

if i guy that i was interested in asked me on a date, of course i would go. but after that experience, can you blame me for being somewhat hesitant? :-P

But then you'd still be annoying everyone else.

I'm doing a public service by trolling you.  You need it.

You also need daddy to drop your ass off in the real world for a few months... but I don't expect that to happen any time soon.
