[discussion]

Katia's minute by minute:

ordinary day (had a big boom and the stage vibrated like crazy)
who's to say
white houses
this time
p.y.h.o.m.
the one (lyric changes: "cargo across the sea")
atm
twilight
encore:
winter

(said she doesn't remember superhero)

Shouldn't cargo across the sea be a lyric change for PYHOM?

Nah!   The new lyrics go like this:

"Time is always passing by
And still I have to wonder why
You can't come and tell me cargo across the sea"

I had no idea it was an "opening act warm-up" thingy coupled with a few new songs.  If I had a criticism of the show, it was the brevity of it.

Ghisy and I managed to get right up against the stage, at one of those weird "half-tables" that make you think Willy Wonka designed them.  It said "reserved", but seeing as last time I had had ENTIRELY enough of that, I just sat down anyway, then just said that someone sat us there.
If I had been bumped for a record company weasel, I would have stabbed someone in the head.

OD was interesting.  I don't know exactly what happened during the "noise" part before the bridge, but Vanessa handled it as smoothly as possible.  Whatever it was that went south, like a preamp or something, was like amplifying a lawnmower engine....not exactly good accompaniment for a waltz!

The new songs are great.  I don't know about anyone else, but every time I hear a new VC song, I'm reminded of how much I love her music...and that I cannot put my finger on what it is exactly that makes me so nuts over it.  Such is the magic of music; it just cuts through the BS.

She mentioned that she's going to be on "Cribs", then said words to the effect of "here's the song that paid for my crib", and then played ATM.

She actually came out to the bar area afterwards and took pics and signed autographs....awesome!  She really appreciates her fans, no question.

I just wish it had been longer!

And the drinks were cheaper.

1:15am I JUST GOT HOME!!! DAMN HOLLAND TUNNEL TRAFFIC, and not to mention getting in a fight with some a-hole cause of stupidity of cars not moving, to the point i was out of the vehicle in a verbal match, Brian can attest to this lol....

Anyways more important stuff to talk about.

The show was good, I'm glad that I finally got to meet Ghisy and a bunch of other people from the boards who I haven't met.  And I was glad to see a lot of familiar faces there too.  Dan summed it up pretty well, though the best part of the show was where Nessa nearly got electricuted and there was this loud zapping buzzing noise for about 30 seconds. "And now I will start from the bridge" she said while she was playing OD.

After the show Nessa the sweetheart that she is, possed for pictures and signed autographs for people. All in all it was a terrific experience! Except for tryign to get in the holland tunnel, and idiots that yell at you to move when there's no where to go (dan picture grid lock for 4 blocks and 6 lanes going into 1 with 3 traffic lights seperating things lol) I'm off to bed.  Oh I almost forgot I was able to get the setlist which was handwritten by Vanessa and I had her sign it after the show  :D

I've tried to get her to play Superhero for over 3 years now, I wanna hear it more than anyone, i've begged, i've pleaded, i've asked nicely and even one time she said to me "Britney Spears can have Superhero" but that was like 2 years ago.  Tonite there was an overwhelming amount of people that wanted to hear it which surprised me.  I'm thinking since she said she for got that one, that someone put all the versions on a cd and give it to her lol this way there is no excuse  :D

soooooooooooooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah the tunnel traffic was ridiculous.. and i got in a fight with someone in a car next to me as well.. which ended with me saying something like "fuck you shut up" and rolling up my window cuz i couldnt understand his foreign accent hahaha. traffic sucks but it was worth it. the mishap during OD was the funniest thing ever lol. i love the way vanessa covered her ears and shrieked haha.

it took us about an hour to finally get back into jersey through the Holland Tunnel.  not to mention some asshole knocking on my window complaining, and then Mike getting out of my car and getting into a shouting match with him.

Vanessa was awesome as always, but I was not happy with wear I was sitting.  everyone in our group had seats along the stage.  liz and i were set back a bit....most of my pics i'm not happy with,k but i'll post the group pics and the one nice pic of V once uploaded.

it was nice to meet Joann, Rene (one E or two?) and Angela.  and it was nice to see Emily again.  been a long time.

our pic w/ V was take on the regular cam, not my digital, so i'll get the one back later tonight from CVS.

so yeah...V was excellent (even when we though she was getting electrocuted)....something always seems to go wrong at a show, but she gets by without any problems.

I liked the overall atmosphere of The Living Room better though.  Here's hoping she'll play there again.

ive wanted to meet her for three years;
i cant believe she was just hanging out, & i wasnt there.
& whats even worse, is that i am about to move to alabama...so my chances of meeting her now, are so slim.
yeah, cry. :(
