But is it that they don't find either sex sexually appealing, or that they aren't able to experience sexual arousal? Can your friends distinguish between people they find attractive/unattractive or good looking?
ps I don't mean this to be offensive at all, just curious... kinda fascinated, actually. I love the brain.

The former. They definitely can tell which people they find attractive or unattractive, however, they aren't aroused by either sex. It's sort of a hard concept to articulate; they have websites, I'd google the asexuals =)
