Which song are you most excited about for the third album?

I am hoping that Vanessa puts Morning Sting on the new album.  It's by far my favorite "recent, but unreleased" song.  My second would be "Put Your Hands On Me".  

Come to think of it, MS would fit perfectly with the other songs, though it may have been ill-fitting (or difficult to record) for Harmonium.

What do y'all think?

Put Your Hands on Me-hands down, the bestest song yet that she hasn't released, it is sooo beautiful, and I see what you'll mean bout MS, it doesn't really fit in with the other songs on Harmonium, I can see why it wasn't on there.

I'm excited for all of them too! I wasn't around these forums before Harmonium came out, so I've got a question. Did you all get to hear all or most of the songs from Harmonium before it came out? Do you think we'll be able to do that for her next album?

There was a "leak" of Harmonium that was on the internet like a month or two before the CD came out. And she performed a lot of the songs live way before Harmonium came out like She Floats, C'est La Vie, Papa, and Afterglow.

I initially resisted the leak of Harmonium.  

My theory about MS is that it was on tap for a B-side(of the singles that were not to be) or that it caused sequencing problems when putting the CD together.  

My fear regarding MS is that it's from a different time and as such would be struck down by Linda Perry.  Man, what I wouldn't give to hear rough mixes or demos of what these two are putting together for album #3..besides what we already know.

I agree about Morning Sting. I'll be interested to see what they do with it. I am also very interested to see how PYHOM turns out as a fully produced song, or if they will leave it mostly piano-vocal since it works so well that way.

The two I am most excited for are "Put Your Hands On Me" and "This Time". I am hoping for a lot of great songs we haven't heard yet. Lyrics and melodies we have no idea about right now.

Honestly, I don't think she'll put Morning Sting on her next album unless she decides to release one with more than 11 tracks. Since she's kept the number at 11 so far, I think MS would be dropped in favor of a new song if she keeps it that way.

Is 'Best Behavior" the confirmed name for the song?  Cos she said she was tossing up between that and "Only you".
