They still have to pay her royalties since she owns the compositions.  She just doesn't have any recording or promotional obligations to them anymore.

I've been trying to figure out "Heroes and Thieves" too. I could play the intro a few days ago but now I've forgotten it :(

Don't worry all of you. I've figured out Heroes and thieves just the day I heard it for the first time. This Friday I'll write it and you'll be able to play it!  :D  It's very easy because a big part of it is equal.
