Thank you, Steveau!  We had a big discussion about that whole thing at the myidol forums, and we have come to the conclusion that voter turnout this week was low.  This is what was mentioned there:

-1- Ryan didn't mention the number of votes cast on the show, so the number probably was not impressive.
-2- Many of the performances were bad so they probably didn't get many votes.
-3- Katherine did so well, and was told so, so many people may have figured she was safe without their votes.
-4- The producers of the show reserve the right to disqualify any votes they deem improperly cast; therefore, they may have (ab)used that power to cause a shakeup to discourage the low voter turnout.

Some of these points are conjectural, but they're all based on facts.  I guess all we can do is vote for who we like, whether we think they need our votes or not.  Regardless of who wins in the end, though, Katharine will always be my idol from this year. :D

I guess I'm the only one who wasn't really impressed by Katherine.  Sorry.  Just didn't think it was that good at all.  But please send Bucky home ASAP, I can't STAND him.

Same here.  Unfortunately I can't get excited about any of them...I don't know why I ever watch the show.  lol.

Katharine is usually amazing each week, she only had like one bad week so I still love her.

And for those who want Bucky gone, unfortunately it wont be next week cuz it's country week  :? help us all.

Dustin, you go to those evil idolboards? *shivers* the msn one is so much better & it's so much easier to keep up with haha.

I totally agree. She butchered a good song! I normally love her, too.

Paris, Taylor, and Katherine are (generally) my favorites.

Ace Young had an appearance on the UPN's Half and Half like a year ago...the rerun is on tonight, and I think it's funny.  They called him "Ace" on the episode and he was sorta the focus of the episode.

Hey, y'all, I'm watching Idol tonight on a slight delay.  I think I'm about a half-hour behind.  Paris just went off the stage and Ace is coming on.  Has Katharine sung yet? :?:

Funny enough, I thought Ace did the best this week even though it was Kellie's strongest genre. Taylor was a disappointment but I'm still voting for him. I liked Elliott. Chris was better than I expected. I think Bucky will be in the bottom 3. Mandisa has to go.

I thought Ace & Chris did horrible because of the song choice. They were soo boring like Randy said to one of them.

And I usually hate Bucky, but he surprised me tonight. So did Kellie even though we all knew they were gonna do good.

As for Mandisa...it's country week, so of course this is gonna be her worst week lol.

I'm going to have to watch it again.  I'm not sure if Katharine nailed her performance or not, but I'm pretty sure Ace screwed his.  Taylor's sounded a little hammered and some of the other ones should have bolted.  I had such high hopes for this season.  Maybe next week....

Yeah i'm not sure about Katharine either. But country week was hard on almost everyone, so yeah. The rock band Queen is gonna be helping them next week...should be interesting haha.

8O no way. Of course she was gonna suck at country, but to vote her off?!

Taylor, Katharine & Chris are the only reasons for me to watch now.

Even Nigel the producer said he couldn't sleep because of the votes in an earlier interview he did on Ryan's morning show.
