I was okay with the elimination since it's obviously a popularity contest so Kevin will probably stay much longer than he should but Melissa really shouldn't be forgetting lyrics at this point in the competition. She sounded good even with the mistake but I'm glad Lisa stayed.

I like Ace's voice. I think he's got the best all around voice among the guys because he has range. Most of the guys this season have pretty limited range.

I guess the whole Michael Jackson song Ace did that one time ruined it for me cuz I did like him at one point. Then the same thing kind of happened with the Stevie song he did...like his voice seemed higher or something.

Simon is predicting Taylor & Chris in the final two. I think I am too even tho I love Mandisa as well. This is like the first time where I wish more than 1 could win haha.

I was not okay with it!!
Damn it, Kevin isn't that good! Melissa was obviously better!
Anyway, I'd like the final 4 to be (this is gonna be tough this year to be right! haha):
Girls: Katharine & Kellie
Guys: Chris & Taylor

I really liked his Michael Jackson song. I didn't think he could pull that off but he did it.

I'm so sick of Chris and his style (I hate that kind of music.) I hope the top 4 will be Taylor, Katharine, Kellie, Lisa in that order but Chris will most likely be there instead of Lisa. I like Bucky better than Chris even though Chris sings better.

Man the Michael Jackson song was like painful to listen to. Maybe it's because I wasn't familiar with the original version.

And you don't like Chris' style of music? Wow I love it. I'm not into a lot of rock bands, but I love the kinds of songs he does like Evanescence, Fuel, etc.

Btw, for any Melissa fans here is a good interview she did: http://www.ew.com/ew/report/0,6115,1173973_3_0_,00.html

Nope I don't. I don't like loud music. I guess my preference in music is different from most here. I'm a more R&B kind of guy. It's hard when you haven't heard a song before. I never heard that Fuel song before.

Yeah that's true.

Oh & remember the two girls who went up with the Kevin poster & gave him a hug? I just found out from my friend who went that it was all staged & they didn't even know each other lol they did seem a little confused. How funny.

These "reality" shows are all fairly staged and contrived but I can't help but watch them. LOL

Katharine was awesome tonight! I loved Kellie. This was her best yet. I really liked Taylor. Ace did a good job. I don't care who goes as long as these 4 stay.

Katharine annoys me, but I can't deny her talent.

Bucky needs to go this week, lol.

Chris was great.  Mandeesa (sp?) too.  Still a fan of Tucker.  Hicks did a good job.

I'd say Bucky might be leaving, but not too sure.

Just playing devil's advocate here.  Paris Bennett is overrated.  Last night she started flat and ended sharp.  She can belt out notes but she doesn't have great control.  When you compare her with Katherine, who has remarkable control and is on pitch 99.9% of the time, Paris falls short.  Same thing with Kevin (who I refer to as Harry Potter).  Paula needs to stop saying "people love you" when contestants sing poorly because that fuels the popularity contest that is not based on vocal talent.  Yes the American Idol needs to have "the whole package" yet there are maybe two or three contestants who I feel really do have it.  And they probably won't make it to the top three because they aren't as "popular" as Harry Potter or Paris or even Taylor Hicks.  People do love them, but they are loved for the wrong reasons.  I didn't watch Idol last year because I hated the Fantasia season.  I thought this year would be different, but it is not turning out to be so.  This is probably going to be the very last Idol I watch.  And that's too bad because this show used to be so good and it used to be about talent.  I'm not so sure that Kelly would have won or even been in the top 2 if she were to compete now.  The way people vote has changed since then.

I totally understand where you're coming from.  The show frustrates me in the same way.

I think either Bucky or Lisa will be going home and I'm getting tired of Paris and Kevin too. The more I hear from Elliott the more I like him and I hope the top 4 will include him instead of Chris because as you all know I don't like his music style.
