8O no way. Of course she was gonna suck at country, but to vote her off?!

I'm with you on this one.
I thought Ace or Bucky were gonna be voted off this week.
One of the best voices left last night, sad sad...
I'm still rooting for Katharine and Kellie though ;)

You guys must be hearing a completely different show than me because I thought Ace was the best of the night. Mandisa sounded horrible and she was bad last week too. I don't think you shouldn't be voted off just because it's not your genre.

meh...I think Ace has gotten worse with each week.

sad to see Mandisa go...she really does have a great voice...was hoping it would've been Paris going home...can't stand her

Mandisa only had 2 bad weeks & has never been in the bottom 3 while Ace has been in the bottom 3 for a while & hasn't done that great so it was country week & MAYBE current hits week that did it for her. We know she's a great performer & has the most powerful voice so it doesn't make sense that she went home.

Btw, Shakira refused to help the contestants on current hits week, which is why most of them sucked, so I blame Shakira for that one

I wasn't surprised to see Mandisa go, knowing that after all American Idol is a glorified popularity contest until they get down to the final few people anyway, but it still kind of sucks because there are at least 3 people who should have been gone before her.

I think Ace will be going home tonight. Kellie was so much better than I expected. Bucky was surprisingly good too.

Bucky's singing just wasn't strong enough to blend in with the band this week, and Elliot had no dynamic in his performance; it was all sung at the same loud volume.  Without a doubt, the top three this week were all told to sit down right at the beginning of Wednesday's show.  Once that happened, I wasn't worried about the other five.  Not this week.

The theme was old standards that Rod Stewart had recorded in his 'Songbook' series.  I've still got it on my DVR if you wanna come over and watch it.  I don't have the list of what everone sang, but it was an excellent show!

I also missed it last night, but here is the song list.  The theme was Standards:

Chris: "What at Wonderful World"
Paris: "These Foolish Things"
Taylor"  "You Send Me"
Elliot:  "It Had to be You"
Kellie:  "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered"
Ace:  "That's All"
Katerine: "Someone to Watch Over Me"
