wow! that just came outta nowhere. Thank you so much for the rip!
It makes this whole "new album" thing feel a bit more real now.
:)

Exactly! I feel a bit lost as to what's actually going on- is this the first single off the album then and they're testing it out on this website? I've got so used to not expecting anything to happen ever again that it's bizarre to actually see something going on!

It sounds awesome. Ahhh! This is, like Vultch said, out of nowhere, but I love it!

I must admit, i was expecting less of a drum/violin vibe to this song and more a piano tune. I play this song on the piano all the time and i think the cords are exceptional but with this recording its difficult to hear the true piano.

I think this version has some shitty EQ applied to it, I don't believe it will be like the version on the CD.

I hope it's not. The song seems a tad overdone  :?

yeah I agree about it being a bit overdone, but I think if this was just a piano ballad it would be too linda perry-ish. This way sounds more like a Vanessa song.

no way. the way it's overdone is not vanessa. on harmonium, the production, and whatever was added to the songs, enhanced them. this just detracts. it's overdone, and sorry, but i'm going to have to say it's perry. the other 2 tracks i've heard have the same..affliction.

I think this song sounds closer to her live voice than harmonium did

This is NOT the version that will be on the album.

I remember when Ashlee Simpson had tracks from "I Am Me" on PromoSquad, and they were completely re-recorded for the album versions. "Boyfriend" had swearing in it and sounded really different.

So I'm assuming artist use PromoSquad just to test their sudio demos.

I agree that Vanessa's vocals are not spot on, and since we know she's a (self-confessed) perfectionist, she's sure to re-record the song.

Maybe it's like that to try and make it more "commercial", like other pop songs, to try to make Vanessa "successful" again. (Personally, I define her as successful, as she is doing what she loves and is exceptional at it, but I mean "successful" as in selling lots of CD's).
